Very VERY easy answer to that question... 25%. That is what peer-to-peer sites like RVShare, Outdoorsy, etc. charge YOU just to "host" your inventory on their site. They frame it a marketing fee. If you can tell me one company that takes a 25% hit on revenue for marketing and is still viable I will personally drive to your house and give you a high five. ALSO, they aren't marketing your RVs they are marketing their busisiness, they couldn't care less if you actually succeed. ALSO AGAIN, they charge the guest outlandish fees and insurance costs which you have no control over so realistically these sites take close to 50% of the reservation cost. Tell me why you would rely on a site that gives you no pricing control over your product and gives you so little in return? Peer-to-peer sites will cost you far more than franchising.
It's rare but there are some other RV rental franchises. I monitor these closely and there are 3 big issues with any other RV rental franchise. 1. They all have very high franchise fees. This is the initial cost to get started. 2. They all operate on the consignment model. This means that instead of owning the RVs you have to go out and swindle people into letting you rent their RVs. This initially sounds appealing because it's low capital investment. However, mathematically it makes absolutely zero business sense. You will end up producing revenue but very little profit AND at the end of the day you have a "business" with no assets and no value for resale. 3. I know this is heavy handed coming from me, but all other RV rental franchises are operated by amateurs. They will all talk a big game of themselves, but none know hospitality like the owner of Easy Camper Rental which is perfectly displayed by guest satisfaction and Easy Camper Rental's profitability.

Many years ago I tried to rent an RV for my family, and found the process to be unnecessarily complicated. Local business' process are difficult and outdated. Peer to peer sites (Outdoorsy, RVShare, etc.) are expensive (many arbitrary fees) and you never really know what you're going to get since it's a bunch of random people, and it's impossible to contact anyone directly to ask questions. With decades of resort management and consulting experience I decided to create a better experience.
